Very pleased!
Was skeptical they were hard to use. EXTREMELY easy. You can do video just by asking to turn video on. And listen to music. Asking for specfic song. Everyone should have these

Not working
The ai in the glasses is not the ai in meta app, It’s like google assistant and Siri few years ago. The media never got uploaded to my phone and lost all the photage. It doesn’t connect to Facebook app.Lost my time and hopefully not the money.I only didnt give one star is for the nice style.

Stylish and functional but not without trade offs
I’ve been using the Ray-Ban Meta Skyler Gen 2 smart glasses for a few weeks now, and overall, I’m pretty impressed with what they offer, especially the battery life and ease of use. The charging case is fantastic and holds a charge for days, making it super convenient for on-the-go use. The glasses themselves easily last 8 hours with moderate use, just as advertised.I primarily use them to listen to music and take photos/videos, and for that, they really shine. The audio quality from the open-ear speakers is surprisingly good while still allowing you to hear your surroundings, which is great for walking or working. The camera is solid, offering a wide-angle lens that captures a lot more of your surroundings than expected. That said, there’s a bit of a learning curve to figure out exactly where to aim since the lens sits higher on your face than a typical camera. Movement can cause slight blur, so it works best for relatively still shots.I haven’t used the Meta AI voice assistant much . I’ll admit, I’m a little uneasy about having an always-listening device , but I do appreciate the built-in translation feature, which I’m looking forward to trying in real-world situations. The Skyler style is super cute, sleek, and versatile. However, I do wish the frames had a bit more give. They fit my head pretty snugly and might cause discomfort over time, especially for anyone sensitive to pressure around the ears.I wasn’t a fan of being limited to sunglasses, so I purchased transition lenses that go from clear to shaded on Amazon. That made a huge difference in usability. now I can wear them indoors and out without needing a separate pair. I’m even considering getting prescription lenses added because I like them that much.Final ThoughtsThese smart glasses are perfect for people looking to document life hands-free, stay connected through music. Just know that they’re more about subtle tech convenience than powerhouse performance. If you’re not sensitive to a tighter fit and can work around the camera’s wide-angle framing, these are an awesome addition to your everyday life.Pros:Excellent battery life (glasses + case)Good audio quality with open-ear speakersStylish, modern designEasy-to-use camera and music controlsTransition lenses make them even more versatileCons:Tight fit with little flexibility in frame armsCamera placement takes getting used toAI feature feels intrusive (personal preference)Not ideal for fast-action shots due to slight blurring

Gen 2 is a slight upgrade
So these have the 3K camera and increased battery life over the original (now, so called Gen 1). If you see meta AI glasses that don’t say Gen 2, they are gen 1. This is probably the product that should have been released originally.I really don’t understand why they used a dumb AI for this instead of something that sounds more like natural language. The meta AI used here sounds like Siri from 2017. It’s robotic, slow, uses canned phrases, etcIt does, however, do the things that you’re asking of it, and will use the internet to look up information. The integration with the camera is very cool, I’m assuming it uses GPS location or something like that to corroborate what you might be looking at through the camera. The AI mode that will allow you to continue your conversation with it. It is actually pretty cool because you could continue to have it view things that you’re looking at while walking around. All of that said, the main show here is the 3k camera. The camera is limited in recording time, and using 3K mode significantly reduces battery life from the 8-hour advertised mark. With that in mind, it is pretty surreal to be able to get better than HD quality in actual first person view.I can see something like this going on ski goggles, and basically eliminating the market for compact sports cameras, assuming that at some point Meta can overcome the time limitations. One thing about the Skyler frames, I wasn’t sure how “catty” these would look on a guy, and I’ll be honest, it’s a little awkward to me because of the location of the camera. I’m not going to take any stars off of this because it’s not an issue with the product itself, but the frame style Skyler isn’t my favorite. I think other guys with different style choices could probably get away with it, but they are a little bit too “catty” for me, personally. That said, my wife or niece might get more use out of them than me down the road.

stylish, smart upgrade that blends classic Ray-Ban cool with everyday tech
I just got the Ray-Ban Meta Skyler Gen 2 in shiny black with green lenses, and they fit me perfectly for all-day wear without that bulky tech feel. The sleek cat-eye frame is super comfortable, lightweight at just 1.5 ounces, and the standard size hugs my face just right without slipping during hikes or drives. The G-15 green lenses cut glare beautifully, giving everything a natural, sharp view that’s great for sunny days out with my wife. The 12MP camera captures crisp 1080p video hands-free, and I’ve been using the Meta AI to snap quick photos of our walks or translate menus on trips—it’s seamless and fun. Battery life is a huge win at up to 8 hours of mixed use, with the charging case adding another 32, way better than the first gen. Audio is clear for calls or tunes via open-ear speakers, though it’s not for blasting rock concerts. Only downside is the camera lens on the frame is a tad noticeable up close if you’re paranoid about privacy. Overall, they’re a stylish, smart upgrade that blends classic Ray-Ban cool with everyday tech—definitely my new favorite shades!

Love my new Meta AI glasses
The Ray-Ban meta gen 2 glasses are amazing. This is my first pair. I didn’t purchase the first generation so i don’t have anything to compare to. The set up was pretty easy and functional. Once everything was up and functioning, It was a seamless experience. The quality of the glasses is very high end. Also the ability for it to pair with your device is seamless. The quality of the picture and video is amazing. They fit very comfortably. Now that i am use to them, they play an important part of my day to day activities. Love the way I just say hey meta and then give a directive, it is so easy to go back and forth without having to repeat. meta understands on the first prompt.

Upgrade for certain people
This is definitely an upgrade from GEN one, but whether it is actually worth it to upgrade I think depends on what you use these for. The battery life is definitely longer. I was able to record about 30 videos either one minute or three minutes (the 15 seconds seems to be gone), and I have 30% battery life left. The 3K video upgrade is certainly noticeable to pixel peepers who need to get the highest quality video possible. For everyday shots, though, it’s not THAT noticeable. The set up was pretty simple and the live translation worked much better than I thought it would, so I would say these are probably excellent for travel. One disappointing thing about these glasses is that, for the price point, there doesn’t yet seem to be a way that I know of to have the battery replaced, which is a big downside to me considering the cost. Other than these things, not much has changed since the GEN one. We are, of course, unsure which updates will be applied to the older version, so I expect these glasses to get better at some point via software upgrades than the older generation when they decide to stop updating it. I can’t quite speak to durability yet as I have not had them very long and I am very careful with them, but under my own personal metrics the battery replacement issue I stated above would fall under durability for me. The build though does seem pretty durable, considering. Lastly, I guess I would say I’m not personally a fan of the green color lenses, I don’t really like viewing everything I see with a green tint, but I can see how some people might enjoy them.So if you’re wondering if you should upgrade I would say yes if the battery life is important to you or the slight upgrade in video quality. Otherwise, you can save and get GEN one in lieu.
